SANDWICH

The Fourth Earl of Sandwich discovered Sandwich in 1762. An earl and all, huh? Well the first ever sandwich was discovered when John Monatgu was too busy gambling (Yes, gambling. He was a sex fiend too.) late in the night and wanted to grab a bite. He ordered for roast beef put between two slices of bread, so that he wouldn't get his fingers greasy. You see, he had to play cards.
And here is another interesting bit. He did not belong to the town of Sandwich. It so happened that the first Earl in his lineage, celebrated his victory in some war in the town of Sandwich.
